And win a holiday! Europe’s last remaining areas of undiscovered wilderness are open to explore and enjoy this summer with the PAN Parks Foundation, the European wilderness protection organisation. Their campaign to raise awareness of Europe's hidden gems of nature, launched on 5 July, will give nature-lovers the chance to discover the treasures of excellent wilderness areas, the 11 certified PAN Parks around Europe. During a 11-week competition there are several prizes to be won through draws: weekly prizes of outdoor gear and the grand prize: one knowledgable and lucky winner will receive a trip to Majella National Park, Italy - with S-Cape Travel - to experience its wonders in person!
PAN Parks are certified areas of outstanding natural beauty, where plants and animals are allowed to thrive and grow as nature intended. These parks are located right across Europe, from Scandinavia to the Mediterranean. You can have a truly unique holiday experience with activities ranging from hiking and fishing to mountain climbing and kayaking, right in the heart of Europe’s most untouched natural landscapes.
As most Europeans can sooner list 5 overseas nature parks then name one from Europe, the PAN Parks Foundation decided to launch an awareness-raising campaign in the form of a fun and rewarding on-line competition.
The rules are very simple: all you need to do is sign up on the website and take the on-line challenge around a different PAN Park each week. After exploring the plant and animal life of each particular area, answer the 5 questions and send them in immediately so that you qualify for the weekly prizes ranging from binoculars to fleece jackets and bags. On top of the smaller prizes, those who answer all questions correctly will be eligible to win the fabulous grand prize: a week’s holiday in Majella National Park, Italy offered by S-Cape Travel, a tour operator partner of the Foundation. All questions are available through the entire competition so late entrants can log in any time and complete the previous weeks' questions by following the park locations on the map of the competition microsite.
So if you are one of the many who wish to learn more about Europe's hidden treasures, don't miss out on this great opportunity: discovering wilderness existing on your doorstep is exciting in itself but taking spectacular tours leading through the beech forests of Majella by night to observe the activities of otters, owls and Italy’s legendary animal, the Appenine wolf will certainly be a life-long experience for the final winner.
